- STATUS - display information about your MM process
-
- Usage: STATUS [VERBOSE]
-
- The STATUS command will display information and statistics about your
- MM process and current mail file. Adding "verbose" displays a few
- additional lines of information.
-
- Example:
- Read>status
- File /f/u1/abc1/mbox (mbox)
- 26 messages, 26 old, 3 deleted, 0 unseen, 37k bytes
- Currently at message 26
- Meaning: The current mail file is /f/u1/abc1/mbox (the mbox file of the
- userid "abc1"), and its format is mbox (the usual format). The next
- line comments on the messages: "old" means in the file before this session;
- 37k bytes (about 37,000 characters) is the size of the whole file mbox.
- The last line shows what message is "current" (message-sequence "current",
- used by various commands).
